Spotlight on "Lit: Stories from the Frontlines of Climate Justice"
Earthjustice calls its climate justice storytelling project, Lit, a connector "between the climate crisis, systemic racism, and extreme inequality — while highlighting the women, men, youth, LGBTQ+, Black, Brown, and Indigenous people around the world who are tackling these issues." This conversation is for creators who are looking for character inspiration when developing content about everyday people doing what they can where they are to take climate action in their own communities and workplaces.

VIRTUAL
SESSION
10:30 AM - 11:35 AM PST
Climate Storytelling Session: Screenwriting in the Age of Climate Change
In this one-hour workshop, we’ll demonstrate how the “climate lens” can be used to integrate climate change into any and every storyline, from brief mentions to climate-driven characters. We’ll explore an array of human emotions that climate change can conjure (climate change doesn’t need to only rouse despair!). Together we’ll apply these ideas through writing prompts and a mock writers’ room.

#CreateResponsibly: Collective Action & Movement Building Across Industries & Landscapes
Greening production practices are critical for addressing climate change and our carbon footprints. But what about our literal footprints? When we utilize a space to create and share our art or message, we have a shared responsibility to one another, future generations, and the land itself along with its inhabitants.
Learn how you can join the #CreateResponsibly movement to inspire better outdoor creation and recreation practices.
